The Coolest Things to do in Boise

Hot air balloons over Boise Idaho

We’re pretty excited. We just learned that Boise is the latest city to become an ExecuCar affiliate! Boise Airport offers over 60 non-stop flights daily to a bunch of locations that are already serviced by SuperShuttle and ExecuCar (locations like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Phoenix, Vegas, Chicago, and many, many more!)

Our affiliate in Boise will offer Sedans, SUVs, and Executive Vans all around the greater Boise area. So, to celebrate, we decided to highlight some of our favorite things to do, see, and eat in Boise so you can have a great time next time you’re there

1. Float the Boise River
You can rent rafts, tubes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets at Barber Park. Or, you can just swim! No matter what you decide to do, the river is the perfect answer to summer heat and unchecked boredom.

2. Hike Table Rock
If you want to get some exercise and see the most incredible sunset of your life, make your way up Table Rock, where you can get a 360-degree view of Boise and the Treasure Valley.

3. Visit the Botanical Gardens
Aside from a wonderful collection of some of the most beautiful plants, flowers, and trees in Idaho, the Botanical Gardens also host a pretty amazing summer concert series.

4. Check out the sights and sounds at the Saturday Farmer’s Market
The farmer’s market here is always a wonderful combination of everything you could ever want from a summer’s day: wine booths, fresh produce, locally made products, cooking classes, and friendly people.

5. Walk Along the Greenbelt
This 25-mile pathway follows the Boise river and takes you to all the most beautiful areas in the city. It’s the perfect way to spend an early morning walk, afternoon lunch break, or twilight stroll.

6. Stuff Your Piehole… At The Piehole
Piehole is the pizza joint beloved by all in Boise. No matter what combination of toppings you choose, it’s bound to be delicious.

7. Grab a Classic Cocktail at The Modern
If you’re looking for the classiest cocktail in Boise, stop looking at the Modern. Their bar is wildly popular, and for good reason – it’s a perfect mix of knowledgeable bartenders, well-crafted cocktails, good music, and the best bar food in town.

8. Hit Up a Late-Night Dance Party at Neurolux
For something a bit grittier, head over to Neurolux. $1 drafts and $2 wells during happy hour sounds like a recipe for a good night.

9. Eat All the Tacos at Parilla
With great drink specials and even better tacos, is there any other way you should spend your night than stuffing your face at Parilla? We don’t think so.

10. Wake up the next morning and get your coffee fix at Flying M
When you need a morning pick-me-up, head over to Flying M. This Boise staple is a huge supporter of the creative community, and it’s always fun to drop by and get a taste of the arts (and some really great coffee).

11. Do it All Again!

Enjoy Boise!
