Local fair or event- If you can’t make to the beach, research your local events in your town. Memorial Day Weekend is a big summer holiday which usually drives more travel, if you live in a popular city look around for local events and street fairs. Lake- There’s something about being around water that makes summer more fun and enjoyable. If you aren’t near an ocean, then the lake is a great choice too! Rent a lake house with friends and family, make s’mores by a fire at night and during the day soak up the sun, take a dip in the lake, and explore the sights around you.
