How would you define travel? Some say it is an “escape” …or time with family, getting away from it all or literally going from one point to another. No matter what your definition, at SuperShuttle and ExecuCar we understand the importance of travel and time away from everyday life. The week of May 1st through May 7th we are celebrating National Travel and Tourism Week.
Travel ’16
Every year, the U.S. Travel Association proudly represents the travel and tourism world by bringing awareness through a week of celebration. This year’s theme, “Travel ’16,” a campaign based around the election season and encouraging fellow Americans to vote for “travel.” It’s a fun way to tie in current events while celebrating such a wonderful part of our lives.
Travel and Tourism Education
The travel community is huge and provides educational insights to those that work in the travel and tourism industry. “Travel and tourism professionals from across the nation work throughout the week to promote the impactful contributions their travel markets and organizations make to the U.S. economy.” We never really think about how much travel can impact others’ lives. So this week, sit back and relax but also be aware of how important travel is, not only for our well-being but also for others!
